Fault Lines

Fault Lines is a 30cm x 30cm mixed media piece in a custom frame (framed artwork 40cm x 40cm). 
This piece grew from my fascination with the hidden power of the earth, so steady beneath our feet yet alive with constant movement, pressure and release. The cracks trace its fragility and its strength, reminders of fault lines where energy surges, reshapes and transforms. 
I have embedded quartz, basalt, citrine and crystal points into a textured landscape, echoing the slow, patient formation of minerals and the fierce forces that bring them to light. Beauty does not only lie on the surface - it pulses from deep within. 
Fault Lines is a reminder that nature’s beauty comes not only from stillness but from its restless vitality, its unseen pulse, its power to create from within.
