Led by Aska Gough, an experienced resin and mixed-media artist, our workshops provide everything you need to create stunning pieces of art. Whether you want to fully unleash your creativity or prefer some guidance along the way, you are free to explore at your own pace. Just bring yourself and wear clothes you don't mind getting messy. Everything else is covered!

Workshop location

Our workshops take place in AskaArt studio nestled in the beautiful heathland and woodland of Prey Heath in Woking, Surrey, UK - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Scientific Interest. During your visit, you can enjoy a peaceful walk, meet our adorable resident donkeys, and perhaps even spot a deer or a bird of prey. If you're traveling from further away, we offer a cozy accommodation in our two-bedroom Artb'n'Bee, with a 10% discount for workshop participants

Workshop details

Workshops typically begin at 10 AM, Monday through Friday, but other times, including evenings and weekends, can be arranged to suit your schedule. Each session comfortably accommodates up to 6 participants, but please get in touch of you's like to book for a larger group.

Expect a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and a few hours of pure fun! Workshops can be customized to match your level of expertise. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, you're most welcome!

Be Brave - Creativity takes courage! Free monthly workshops

This is a free, monthly creative session designed for anyone who wants to connect, or reconnect, with their creativity in a relaxed, supportive space. You don’t need any experience, just a little curiosity and the willingness to try. These sessions are about exploration, not perfection. Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or simply feel creatively blocked, 'Be Brave' offers you the chance to play, experiment, and see what emerges when you give yourself permission to create. All materials are provided - just bring yourself and wear something comfortable.

The only thing I ask in return is that you share a little of your story with me, and allow me to photograph and share what you’ve made on social media. It’s a way of celebrating your creative courage and inspiring others to take that first step too.

Come as you are. Leave with something you made, and a reminder that creativity lives in all of us.

Resin pour workshop

In this workshop you will create a stunning piece of resin art using the pouring technique. You’ll explore the properties of epoxy resin as an art material, learn how to mix, prepare, and pigment resin, and discover how to pour it to achieve beautiful results. Additionally, you’ll be guided through adding the finishing touches to your artwork. Once completed, your piece will be left to dry overnight and can be collected the next day, or posted to you by arrangement.

What is included:

Three hours of hands-on art creation
A 15-minute coffee break, with water, tea, coffee, and biscuits provided
Two 30 x 30 cm pieces (or one 40 x 60 cm piece) on a 3D wooden art board to take home
All materials and tools, including a variety of pigments, resin, liquid gold, dispersion media, protective tape, cups and mixing tools, blow torch etc.
Protective gear including gloves, apron and face mask

Resin geode and gemstone workshop

In this workshop you will create a geode-inspired piece of art using pigmented epoxy resin a selection of beautiful gemstones. You will learn how to compose your piece, the techniques of mixing and pouring resin to achieve dazzling results and how to add intricate details and finishing touches to make your artwork truly unique. Once completed, your piece will be left to dry overnight and can be collected the next day, or posted to you by arrangement.

What is included:

Four hours of hands-on art creation
A 15 min coffee break, with water, tea, coffee and biscuits provided
Two 30 x 30 cm pieces (or one 40 x 60 cm piece) on a 3D wooden art board to take home
All materials and tools, including a selection of gemstones and crystals, crushed glass, variety of pigments, resin, liquid gold, dispersion media, protective tape, cups and mixing tools, blow torch etc.
Protective gear including gloves, apron and face mask

Woodland and stone texture workshop

In this workshop, you will create a nature-inspired artwork using a variety of texture pastes and natural materials such as tree bark, cones, dried plants, and pebbles. You’ll learn how to enhance your piece with colour through techniques such as spray painting, alcohol ink, mica powder, gilding polish, and epoxy resin. Optional gemstones can also be incorporated for added interest and texture. Depending on the finish, your artwork may need to dry overnight, in which case it can be collected the next day or posted by arrangement.

What is included:

Six hours of hands-on art creation over two days.
Day 1: Dive into your creative process by building your composition with texture pastes, allowing your work to dry overnight while adding other foundational elements to your artboard.
Day 2: Bring your masterpiece to life by adding colours, intricate details, and those all-important finishing touches.
A 15 min coffee break, with water, tea, coffee and biscuits provided
Two 30 x 30 cm pieces (or one 40 x 60 cm piece) on a 3D wooden art board to take home
All materials and tools, including a variety of woodland material (tree bark, pine cones, twigs, dried plants and leaves etc.), pebbles, pieces of rock, crushed glass, a variety of texture pastes, pigments, paints, pastes, resin, protective tape, cups and mixing tools, blow torch etc.
